Hannover

Hannover is a minor faction in Empire: Total War.

General Information

Hannover shares borders with Denmark to the north, Prussia to the east, Westphalia to the west, and Saxony to the south. Along with Denmark and Prussia, it is one of the only Protestant factions in the region. Its shared religion with Prussia and its historical friendliness with it makes it a good choice for Prussia to cooperate with in the early game. Its alliance with Great Britain means that declaring war on it is not a proposal to be taken lightly.

The in-game AI tends to have Hannover declare war on, and usually defeat, Saxony. If left unchecked, Hannover sometimes advances into Denmark, and even Sweden.
